Tim did work for us few years ago and did great job. This time, Tim gave me an estimate and he was $600.00 higher than competition. I still hired Tim as I am state 4 cancer and cannot perform manual labor as I used to. I wanted work done right and in its entirety. I was mistaken. Tim stated he was semi-retired. I think his work ethic is on hiatus as well. Once he cut trees he tore yard up with Bob cat during clean up. Did not use chipper as he did before. Tim hit, and rode over my handbill, level landscaping wall. It will have to be rebuilt as it is now discombobulated, uneven. Tim tore yard up, leaving track marks all over front yard, near house and side of house. I added 7.5 yards of gravel to driveway and had leveled just a few months ago. Drive way now has sink holes and ruts that will have to be filled in to be level again. He asked if he could leave small debris, small amounts in wooded area. I said yes, thinking he would leave small cuts of wood, tiny even.. I figured he wouldn't leave limbs he had cut, a large pile of debris, trees he knocked over that were 6-7 inches in diameter, but he left it. After all, who that works in residential trimming would leave a truckload of wood? Tim will. I asked that small trees 2-3 inch in diameter could be cut down if mangled by bob cat, he said absolutely, "I wouldn't do it any other way." Tim left 10+ trees that had been broken, bent, knocked half over, left leaning. Tim just left them... A day and a half into job Tim asked to be paid in order to save himself a trip to get paid. Since he did a great job first time and I "knew" him, I paid him all in cash. That was so stupid on my part. Tim's word is no longer valid. I will have to clean up the rest. Limbs in edge of woods, brush will have to be drug out, limbs are smushed into my front yard. I will have to remove and have cancer in my spine. The yard is simply messed up. Bad messed up. Already spent few hours having to rake my yard to get out track marks and remove limbs that were ground into the yard. I have more to do. Tim says one thing, does opposite. I messaged him after a few days, to express these things, thinking maybe he had intended on coming back. I figured he'd be horrified of what I had to say. He never came back and he never responded. If you are looking for tree work, I would keep looking. Workers like this need a boss to micromanage them if they are going to work.
