I hired Ray’s to come and remove a large tree that had partially fallen, and was hung up in tree branches hanging precariously over our private little road here off Jacks Creek in Burnsville. Ray quoted me $300 to cut it down or $400 to cut it down and remove the pieces of cut up tree from the property. I went with the $400 and prepaid him to come and take care of it. Well, he did come out and cut down the top half of the tree, tossing the pieces of branches and some of the trunk in the ditch along my property. But he left the whole bottom half of the tree just hanging there with pieces strewn about on the ground. I contacted Ray’s repeatedly over a period of months. All he would say is that he would be coming to finish the job when they would be “out your way.” And he was short and snotty reminding me how lucky I was that he came when he did when the weather was stormy. Well, that was over a year ago and that big tree is still hanging there. By the way, I asked for a $100 refund since he did not complete the job I had paid $400 for. He has refused to refund me or to come complete the job after all this time. Don’t hire this tree service unless you want to risk being screwed over as I was.

We recently hired Ray’s Tree Services to take down some very large trees that were too close to the house. The owner, Brandon, was professional and very knowledgable offering good advice on every level. It was a precarious situation, and Brandon and his team handled it with experience precision and expertise. Very impressed. We would hire again.

We had an emergency situation and he responded to my phone call at 4pm on a Saturday within half an hour. He came out the same day and helped us as much as he could, tying the tree, until he could get a crane on site on the Monday to take the falling tree down. He also took 3 surrounding trees out, after giving advice on their health. His knowledge on the subject is very good and everything he had told me about the trees was accurate. You could clearly see how unhealthy they were once they had been fell. The work was close to many powerlines and was quite precarious. He managed to bring all 4 trees down without any powerline damage. Mr Ray is a polite and cheerful person and was easy to deal with. My only complaint is he doesn't take cards, cash or checks only. His price seemed reasonable for the work involved. We had 4 people on site the last day to remove everything. Very happy with the service and would recommend highly.
