Gary grows Sabal palmettos and other Sabals from seed for planting in the landscape. Few others do this. It's a slow way to get a full-grown palm tree, but a great way to get a hardier palm. He also visited and documented the northernmost Sabal minors growing on an uninhabited island in the Currituck Sound. If you live in the Southeast U.S. and love palms you definitely should visit.

2-26-23. 15 minutes off Hwy 70E, New Bern . A Real Treat.. This Mild Mannered Man is a Technical Resource Text Book on Cold Hardy Palms for our Zone 8. . I bought 4 at his suggestion for my interest. If U need a Palm, go visit him. Glad I did. . Cheers!

Gary is the undisputed King of palms in the state of North Carolina. His prices are very reasonable & his selection is about the best you will find in this part of the country. I know all of this because I did hours of research before I finally made my move this morning. Gary has a passion for palms which are native to this state and climate. Listen to him and your warm weather plants will never conceivably freeze to death in the Tar Heel State.
