EDIT: After the great job he did, I tried to have him return to tidy up a stump. I think he's disappeared. I've called several times, with numerous messages left. No response. The few times I saw him and inquired, he promised to come right by but never showed up. PREVIOUS REVIEW: J.R. gave me a quote and start date three weeks out. Rain made him postpone for two days. Work was completed as promised, better than expected. Surgically removed half dozen poplars and a sycamore in one day, all over 80 feet tall, right next to my house, and on both sides of my prized Fringe tree. Other than remaining stumps (which I chose not to grind), you can't tell he and his crew were ever here. This is my second Newman tree job, and I'll call him again if additional work is ever needed. Great job! Highly recommend! UPDATE Aug 2022: Huge oak tree fell on the house! Called JR on Sunday. His crew had the tree removed in less than two hours Monday morning. Also removed other "threatening" trees around two houses and trimmed back a couple hundred feet of Rhododendrons. These guys all pitch in and work SO hard. Left the grounds raked, all debris gone. Another great job!

Asked him to thin and trim 2 very old Bradford Pears and to trim a Maple on the side of the drive. He topped the maple and trimmed the lower branches back. The middle limbs were left alone, making the tree look terrible. One of his helpers stood at the bottom of the smaller Bradford and trimmed the lower branches with a pruner on a long pole. For the larger Bradford, he was supposed to thin it out to allow air flow and trim the branches away from the front porch. We counted very few limbs that were actually trimmed and the tree was NOT thinned out. When he came to collect payment, we mentioned this to him and his response was 1) I've been all over the country and done this kind of work for 50 years and that is the best looking Maple; and 2) I'm only going to make about $450 on this job, we spent about 20 hours out here. We both pointed out that he did no such thing. If anything, they were out there maybe 3 or 4 hours, one afternoon/evening. In the end, he threatened court and lawyers and said it was going to cost a whole lot more than the price he quoted. We agreed to pay him a lesser amount or have him complete the work he agreed to. He took the lesser amount, but said he would collect the rest in court. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!!

Actuality jones

This is the worst tree service in Brevard. The owner demonstrates utter comtempt for his customers. He doesn’t return calls and doesn’t follow through on his commitments. Avoid,
