My wife and I highly recommend Bartlett tree service. We found them to be very professional, friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable from start to finish. They worked quickly, efficiently and had us walk around with them to make any suggestions. They also did a great job cleaning up. Once again, we highly recommend them.

I am writing because of the carelessness of Bartlett Tree Experts of Raleigh that endangered the lives of my cat and my neighbors’ two cats and the songbirds that I feed. I am a veterinarian, and I don’t want this to happen to any other animals. My Rhododendron bushes became infected with black vine weevils last year. I asked Bartlett Tree Service to spray them with pyrethrins. They said that it would take a few treatments, and they gave me dates around the time that the bushes should be treated. I told them that the treatment dates would need to be scheduled with me in advance, because I have an outdoor cat and my neighbors have 2 outdoor cats that spend much time lounging underneath the bushes. All of the cats would need to be brought inside prior to spraying and kept inside until the pyrethrins dried as pyrethrins are toxic to cats, causing muscle fasciculations, tremors, seizures, and death. In addition, there are 5 bird feeders between two of the bushes and a bird house between two of the bushes. These would need to be covered prior to spraying. April 9, 2024 was the date that Bartlett Tree Experts had said would be around the time that the bushes would need to be sprayed. On April 5, 2024, I saw two Bartlett Tree technicians walking up my driveway with sprayers. I went out, and they said that they were coming to spray. I told them that I had told Bartlett Tree Experts that spraying would have to be scheduled in advance so that I could prepare to protect the cats and the birds. I called the Raleigh office after they left and stated this again. They said that someone would contact me to schedule. No one did. On April 18, 2024 I had just finished bathing my mother and walked into the kitchen and saw a Bartlett Tree technician with a sprayer walking down the driveway towards his truck. I stopped him and asked if he had sprayed. He said that he had. I told him that my agreement with Bartlett Tree was that no one would come out to spray unless it was scheduled in advance. He said that he rang the doorbell, and no one answered. My doorbell doesn’t work and even if it did, I would not have been able to leave my mother in the middle of a bath. So, my bushes were sprayed, endangering the lives of 3 cats and many songbirds. I called the Raleigh office and informed them. The manager called me and said that I was supposed to get an email 24 hours in advance. I did not either of the two times that technicians came out. He said that it was not their intention to endanger the life of my cats. The intention is no excuse for the carelessness and the potential harm that was done. I will not use Bartlett Tree Experts again, because I value the life of my cat, my neighbors’ cats, and the songbirds. I cannot recommend that others use their services as well. Wonderful experience with Bartlett. Jared was great. Timely estimate on taking down a very large tree in my yard. Professional team came out to my house, did a terrific job and left my yard with zero debris. Would highly recommend them.

I live in an HOA neighborhood. This company was chosen by my HOA. I was in my living room located on the second floor of the townhouse, when rocks and wood was hitting my windows. When I went to look to see what was happening, I found my car and my neighbors car completely covered in small rocks and wood pieces. Apparently it’s a great idea to use an air compressor to dig out a root 6 feet away from my car and not even bother to knock on The doors closes to see if the cars can be moved. I went downstairs to check on my car to find a chip on my windshield! The worker brushed me off by saying that the HOA was ok with him not bothering to inform ppl that their cars are about to be covered in a massive amount of dust and possibly sustain damage. After speaking to the HOA, that is false and was a complete lie. They encourage me to contact the company to get them to fix my car windows. They are completely careless for people property! In the last image you can even see rocks flying towards my car as he is working. A telephone conversation included them not understanding how they could have caused my chipped windshield, when I literally have images of him using a compressor on dirt a couple of steps away from my car, with debris flying at my car. They are coming to look at my car tho, that gives me hope that they may try and make this right.

A tree fell on my dad's house in December last year and we used Bartlett's to remove it and leave the tree in manageable pieces so we could just put the tree pieces in the woods next to his house. They did a fine job on removing the tree, but left far less than manageable pieces in his yard. The picture I have included is the current state of it...this is after I used a dolly to remove the pieces that wear around 100 pounds to the woods on my own. At this point, we are going to have to either move this ourselves or hire someone to do it. My sister wrote them several times about this, and even though they did come out again to cut the tree in manageable pieces (it was much worse than what's in the pic before), we still have pieces that are probably 500 or more pounds that we cannot move. I hate to leave a negative review because they were really the only ones we could get to respond to us and they did get the tree off the house, but I just don't feel we got what we paid for here.

Charles, our sales representative, was prompt, under promised and over delivered on schedule date, provided the expertise we needed regarding both grounding our very large oak tree plus diagnosed an issue with another tree. The crew was amazing. They were professional, kind, responsive and took the time to answer questions that we had. They truly impressed us handling 2 large jobs so well. I feel that the crew went above and beyond! We are planning to install a zip line and they advised the best trees to use. Their idea is much better than our original plan.
